As Apex Catering we have unrivalled knowledge of cooking meats, of all kinds, using barbeque, grilling and roasting methods we have refined over 30 years. This knowledge includes both historic and modern techniques. Our first barbecue unit was designed and built in 1977 to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee at our local street party, from this small start, 30 years on and a Golden Jubilee later, we have built and catered for many, many more barbecues. As the market leaders we once barbequed and catered for 22, 000 people in one day, although gatherings of 100 to 200 are more the norm. Unlike other companies we can provide barbecuing and serving from any location at your event. The Embers BBQ Unit is simply wheeled to where you would like us to set up, prior to starting. We also have flexible rain proof equipment and covers for outside areas and events where you require cover, please see the video below. With our experience you can depend on us.

We grow much of the salad, herbs and vegetable crops ourselves on our own MARKET GARDEN FARM and our meats are sourced locally. We therefore, offer a high quality service, based on the best locally sourced produce, which is cooked to exacting standards, using knowledge gained from over thirty years in event catering. Our approach is to work with our clients, to give a flexibility and choice for creating a menu that is truly the client's own. We are fully equipped with the latest commercial mobile catering equipment; meaning we are able to prepare and serve whatever you require, wherever your venue is located, from a castle to the local village hall. We believe we are the market leaders when it comes to barbeques, hog roasts and bespoke bbq / hog roast machines in the UK, no one has been doing it for as long as we have, and no one has built more bespoke engineered, industrial strength, commercial hog roasters in the UK, or have done so for as long as we have. Not only that our work alongside many food historians and the research we put into continuely striving for the best roasting methods means our machines have seen decades of service, with regular service intervals, (which we are happy to do) and our roasting and barbecue methods have become standard within the industry for doing the largest animals, including whole Ox roasts. We have customers in all regions of the UK using our manufactured barbeques and hog roasters (from Embers) and we have catered in nearly every part of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland (as Apex). Our company prides itself on the standard and quality of the catering we do and the level of services we provide. After 30 years we know the meaning of client satisfaction, and that is why all of your individual requirements can be easily catered for by looking through our extensive menu. Our Equipment is fully mobile, giving us the ability to set up full marquee field kitchens for High Class Hospitality and Location Catering contracts. Our Mobile Kitchens and Lorries provide fast Very High Class Catering - sometimes needing to be at a different venue each day for Travelling Road Shows, Demonstrations etc.

Having our own equipment (some bespoke, manufactured specifically for the job by Embers Catering Equipment) means Apex can operate virtually anywhere. Whether catering for private celebrations for ten people to the really large corporate events for 50,000, we can produce equally as well from a client's kitchen or a field kitchen. For a themed event such as Medieval or Tudor we research and try out authentic recipes, sometimes substituting an ingredient or two to make the dish more palatable for modern tastes. Apex has replicated banquets and feasts for filmed documentaries.
